Community Garden Plots — Now Available!

Reserve your own garden plot for the 2024 season.

The season runs May 4th - September 21st, plots are $20 for a 4' x 8' raised bed. First come, first served.

Straw mulch and water is provided on site along with some gardening tools, watering cans on loan.

Requirements: Current WMCL membership and light communal work. Reserve your garden plot today. You can email Michelle at wmclgarden@gmail.com.

Free Garden Workshop — Hay Bales 101

Learn how to prepare and fertilize hay bales to plant and grow veggies and flowers.

Dates:

Saturday, May 10th at 10am — Set up and fertilization.

Sunday, June 1st at 10am — Hands-on planting experience. We'll plant tomatoes, peas and flowers.

It's the End of Winter — Let's Celebrate!

Join us for our annual Spring Social at the hall for refreshments, games and activities for the whole family. 

Learn how to get involved in your community league and share input on WMCL programming. Contact us for volunteering information.

Proposal — Year Round Tennis and Pickleball Centre at Jasper Place

IQ Tennis & Pickleball Centre came to our board meeting to discuss their plan to renovate the open tennis courts into a year-round covered tennis and pickleball facility.

Some of the renovations include:

IQ Tennis & Pickleball Centre was chosen by the City of Edmonton to explore the potential of covering the existing tennis courts at Jasper Place with an air supported structure to offer Edmontonians an opportunity to enjoy tennis and pickleball year-round.
